Falling in love

"What is that?" he tried to catch her hand to have proper look at what's written.

"Nothing" she pulled it back in a jerk and started rubbing hard.

"Do you still love him?"

"No!"

"But that is what it says."

"I thought I erased it completely"

"But... why did you write it? You said you don't have any feelings for him and it is he who is behind you. Then why all this?" now a bit more serious look.

"I don't know. I am not sure. I think I do have feelings for him"

"What?"

Silence

Still Silence only

"You will end up screwing two lives. Your confusion will lead you no-where. Moreover, you would be heartening his madness this way. If you love him and believe that you would be happy with him, just go ahead and accept him. If not, you already know this is not going to be easy with your dad. So just avoid him. Or else.."

"Stop it!" hands over ears
"Please stop it!" after a pause, slowly removing hands
"This is all because of you"

"Me?" puzzled "I was just trying to help you out by..." interrupted

"If I had not met you, may be I would have said 'yes' to him" almost in to tears now.

"What? What did.." again interrupted

"You mesmerize me. You make me feel complete. You are so caring. I am myself with you. I am so comfortable with you as I am with my dad"

A short silence as he stands stunned.

A sigh with a smile.

"Why are you laughing?"

"You are a kid!" a dragging dialogue

"You haven't seen me properly" head up, back straight and a short-smiling blush.Tears are almost gone.

"Come, Lets walk"

Walking hand in hand

"Remember, I didn't propose you"

"I know... you girls never utter those 3 precious words, you just make us say..."

  2. Often I have seen that in relationships, guys are more sensible than girls. But it definitely depends on the case of study :)

  3. This is short, simple and sweet.
When it started out I didn't know
    which way it was headed-pleasantly
surprised with the way you ended it.
Liked the format you have adopted-
    no details about the characters-
    story develops through their conversation
with an unexpected ending-good one Ajay!
