Basic Principles of life
Never ever ever ever try too hard for a girl.
If she trusts you, she will never miss you. If she doesn't, you can't get her. And more importantly, Not worth it! for most of the times...

Kites Review
Two kites flying in the sky...
Starting from nowhere, they get closer and sometimes move farther...
But when they are closer, one gets cut and flies away...
This small bit before the title explains the story and justifies the title.
Kites is a typical Anurag Basu style. It has bits similar to that in his past movies 'Gangster', 'Life in a Metro' and 'Murder'. The screenplay jiggles between present, past and past perfect too. Hrithik(Jay), definitely the most deserving Indian star to be in Hollywood, was great and portrayed the emotions well. But the show stealer was definitely the long legged Mexican beauty(Natasha/Linda), especially in the second half. She was simply awesome. The best part of the movie comes in the early second half where there are good romantic bits but the fast jiggling screenplay spoils the sink. I wish this part was longer and the action part cut short. Most of the action was unnecessary and was only aimed at
thrushing Lance rovers and cop cars.
There was too much drag in the sequences displaying the silent rapport developing between J and Linda. All the credit goes to the charisma of the couple for filling up the drag. Nicholas(Tony) as the villain was nothing more than what was required. Kangana(Gina) put on some weight and looked more like her twin sister(if there was one!). She had nothing much to do. It was all about the rapport and escapade of J and Linda. The romantic bits were funny and sometimes meant to be funny. The screenplay was good from the connectivity vantage point. Unlike most of the Bollywood flicks, not all the bullets failed to hit the target in this. Justifications were done and sometimes seemed to be done. But definitely something jumping onto a moving train and standing still is against Newton's 'Law of Inertia'.
Chosing roof tops for drinking like in Gangsters/Murder. Natasha's appartment and the first nerves of love and passion between the lead couple developing there in the red dim light reminded the similar flick from 'Life in a metro' between 'Shiney' and 'Shilpa'. The climax reminded 'New moon-twilight'(where the hero jumps into water for his love). There is nothing much for the music lovers.
There is romance, there is fun, there is a sense of involvement but all these with a sense of incompleteness. One can also find the messages like 'Money matters only till one finds one's true love' and 'Love has no Language barriers'. Not a movie for all but worth watching on the big screen for the Charisma and rapport of the Lead couple but expectations can play spoilsport. Waiting for the DVD's of English version is an option but remember that it is 40 mins shorter.
Finally, I would rate it at 3/5.

32 days to go...
Fifa 2010 worldcup anthem... it's awesome
Ooooooh Wooooooh
Give me freedom, give me fire, give me reason, take me higher
See the champions, take the field now, you define us, make us feel proud
In the streets are, exaliftin , as we lose our inhabition,
Celebration its around us, every nation, all around us
Singin forever young, singin songs underneath that sun
Lets rejoice in the beautiful game.
And together at the end of the day.
WE ALL SAY
When I get older I will be stronger
They'll call me freedom Just like a wavin' flag
And then it goes back
And then it goes back
And then it goes back
Ooooooh Wooooooh
Give me freedom, give me fire, give me reason, take me higher
See the champions, take the field now, you define us, make us feel proud
